*An open door lies in front of you, leading down to a deep infinite abyss, below and beyond. No light is present, not even the flicker of a firefly. Above the door, you see a small silvery plaque.*

**To walk in the shadows, to tread the path of darkness,

to converse with the undead, to laugh with the insane,

takes either blind courage, or a similar mindset...

Which ---- have you?**

*You take a step past the doorframe and it closes with a whisper behind you. Fearing each step you take, you walk steadily into the darkness as it swallows you up, leaving no trace of the path behind.*

Greetings. *You hear a soft voice amidst the shadows*

Do take a seat. It's been a long time since I've had visitors.

*You feel the cold metal of a chair leg nudging yours and seat yourself down cautiously on the plush cushion, feeling some warmth in the dry coldness*

*A dim yellow light flares and you see a slim, petite girl curled up in an armchair too big for her, the light hovering over her outstretched palm and you think you see hidden flames in those calm dark eyes.*

*She smiles slightly.*

Brave or foolish you might be, but you've dared to venture into the hidden depths of my world and for that, I will be grateful.

*Her smile widens and you see the glint of two sharp canines reflecting the glow of the eerie yellow light.*

Three choices I'm giving you, walk out of here now and ignore the rest of what I have to say, sit back and relax to hear my tale or like most others, shove their chair back in fear and topple over backwards, straight into Hell. The abyss down is right at the edge of your chair.

*You freeze involuntarily.*

*A chuckle escapes her lips*

Not that I have anything against Hell but it sure doesn't pay to go there too early. I still have a long while yet.

*She holds up a finger* Wait.

There are a few criteria. First, you must be hungry for a tale. Much of the world is governed by hunger, for various different things, money, power, and in my case, blood. Two, a vivid imagination and open mind is required. If you just wish to scoff and be sceptical, I suggest this place is not for you. Three, you are sworn to secrecy on this. Many tales are spread by word of mouth alone and it is only those who wish and dare to discover, who will discover. The rest do not have to know. That is all I ask.

So, what will it be? Two choices I can control, the descent into Hell, I can't. Make your decision.
